The Veterinary Assistance Program (VAP) helps qualifying pet owners access routine care and other necessary veterinary services when they are unable to afford the already deeply discounted prices offered by Legacy Humane Veterinary Clinic (LHVC).
Through the VAP, financial assistance may be provided toward approved procedures and treatments performed at LHVC. By easing the financial burden of veterinary care, we hope to keep beloved pets healthy, safe, and at home with the families who love them. This program also helps reduce surrender and intake pressures on local animal shelters and rescue organizations.
All applicants must complete a Veterinary Assistance Program application and receive approval before financial assistance can be provided. Applicants do not need to be existing LHVC clients to qualify; however, all approved services must be completed at LHVC. At this time, VAP funding cannot be applied to services performed at outside veterinary clinics or hospitals.
The Veterinary Assistance Program is made possible through the generosity of donors who believe every pet deserves access to compassionate veterinary care, regardless of a family’s financial circumstances. Every contribution helps relieve suffering, save lives, and keep pets and their families together.
To qualify for this program, applicants must provide:
- Proof of denial from CareCredit or another veterinary financing provider;
- A valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, state-issued ID, or passport; and
- At least one of the following:
